How Does Mail-in Repair Work

Submit the Contact Form
Package and Send MacBook – Use the address information we send you. We will notify you of receipt.
Approve Quote — We inspect to confirm original quote or re-issue. If re-issue is not accepted your MacBook will be returned in the same packaging after payment of a small inspection fee to cover the 1 – 2 hours it takes to disassemble, inspect, diagnose and reassemble. Quotes include inspection fee so the fixed price quote is all you pay.
Repair Complete – Invoice issued and following payment your MacBook will be sent via Royal Mail special delivery ‘signed for’ and insured.

Andrew genuinely saved my life with my MacBook problem. Lemonade spilt over it at a party and I was so worried it was done for, especially since I'm a student studying music production. He gave me a full rundown of everything that could've happened and everything he could do. I left feeling confident my Mac was in good hands. In the end it turns out he found no damage to the logic board and didn't charge me for the service since there was no fix needed but it was still extremely kind and the peace of mind was greatly appreciated. I'll be recommending his services to others for sure. :)

Andrew is undoubtedly the most knowledgeable person I’ve encountered when it comes to technology, especially MacBooks. Two years ago, I had a major disaster where I spilled soda on my MacBook and left it soaking overnight. I was certain it was a total loss, and Apple’s repair quotes were astronomical. Andrew not only fixed it for a fraction of the cost but returned it to me in like-new condition. It’s clear that his priority is the quality of the repair and the satisfaction of the customer rather than just the bottom line.

Recently, I had another accident with my MacBook. Instead of disposing of it or immediately buying a replacement, my first instinct was to go back to Andrew. Even when I offered it for parts, he showed genuine care and insisted on assessing it to see if it could be saved. His blend of high-level intelligence and genuine politeness makes him a pleasure to do business with. Had a broken screen on my 2017 MacBook pro and was able to get it fixed the same day with no hassle, only took 25 mins to fit the new screen and works perfectly.

I had my Macbook Pro damaged by an accidental spill of a container of noodle soup that was in the front pocket of my rucksack. My Macbook was in the main compartment of the rucksack but the runny soup managed to get into contact with the motherboard and power switch. After that the power switch and finger print reader would never work and the mac kept restarting. A friend recommended Andrew to me. So I called him and arranged for the Macbook to be looked at. He had a look and provided me with a quote. Though it was a bit more than I expected it was reasonable and he explained everything and the reasons why. Any way long story short, Andrew fixed it and made it useable again. So I would definitely recommend him and his services. I never got to meet his Chihuahua though :-)

Excellent service - battery replaced within 30 minutes, and helpful. The only reason it's four * is because his website address (if you don't know what to look for) is in Deansgate, Manchester, which is just a mailbox shop. I drove there, waited outside in the rain, and then came to his flat, which is in the same part of Manchester that I live in. So - please update the website details, Andrew.

Not only did Andy bring the MacBook back to life, he also preserved all the data so nothing was lost, at 1/3 of the price quoted by Apple (who would have lost the data).

After being told by Apple that they don’t carry the parts I required, I eventually found Andy and his UK Mac Repair service and I was glad I did.

Firstly, Andy was able to source the parts that Apple don’t carry. Not only that, he fitted them to my machine and was able to resolve my problem for a lot less money than the alternatives, which included buying a new machine.

Andy is impressively knowledgeable when it comes to MacBooks. Andy is a properly trained, educated and professionally experienced engineer who has been doing this type of work for many years. Once he has had the chance to take a look at the problem, he issues a quote and allows you the choice before starting work on the machine, I like that approach.

But perhaps Andy’s best attributes include honesty (rare anywhere nowadays) and being able to simplify complex issues when explaining them to his clients. He actively tries to avoid bamboozling his clients which in itself is a rarity in this field. In my case, I required more than one visit and slightly more problem-solving than expected. However Andy handled it patiently and was willing to listen to my suggestions too. I am pleased with all aspects of the service Andy provided and I recommend him highly.

Andy was quick and responsive when I first called him, told me a great recommendation to get a screen for MacBook Pro, the screen is in great working order with 90 days warranty. Acquired the screen and replaced the screen the same day! Went to Andy with an issue with my new MacBook that was dead to the world through storing it.

He advised me to do a battery replacement with Apple (even though it took business away from him) as he expected there was more issues and it was still new.

He was correct and it was the best and most affordable option for me.
