Only use genuine Apple chargers or good brand chargers with PD capability. Definitely don’t use a cheap charger shaped like an Apple claiming to be compatible. This will blow your USB port chips and cost you many times what you saved by not buying a well designed genuine Apple charger.

Don’t put a drink bottle in the same bag as your MacBook. It will leak and cost you dearly in repairs or replacement.

Don’t close the lid with anything on the palmrest or keyboard. The screen glass is 0.2mm thick and will crack easily!

Keep debris out of the hinge line – it gets under the ribbon cable protectors and fatigues the ribbons resulting in stagelight effect.

Don’t apply pressure to the screen. In fact just dont touch the screen – you will be amazed how clean it remains. If you must clean the screen ensure every single drop is squeezed from the cloth first so no drop can get into the MacBook.

Don’t use a wet USB plug. Do this once and it will end up sparking and pitting the contacts in your Macbook. Then any good USB plug used next will end up sparking and getting pitted contacts. Rinse repeat until every USB plug and socket you own is pitted and sparks when heavy current is drawn.
